Early Life and Education

Einat Wilf was born on December 11, 1971, in Jerusalem, Israel. She earned her bachelor's degree in Political Science and Art History from Harvard University, her MBA from INSEAD Business School, and her PhD in Political Science from Wolfson College, Cambridge University.

Military and Political Service

Wilf served as an officer in the Israeli Intelligence Corps' elite Unit 8200. She worked as an advisor to former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres, taught at Sapir College, and wrote a column for the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

In 2009, Wilf ran on the Labor Party's electoral list but failed to enter the Knesset as the party won only 13 seats. She became a member of the Knesset after Ofir Pines left politics.

Political Career

Wilf served on the Knesset's Finance Committee, the Science and Technology Committee, the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, the Education, Culture, and Sports Committee, the State Control Committee, and the Committee on Aliyah, Absorption, and Diaspora Affairs.

In January 2011, Wilf and several other Knesset members from the Labor Party formed the new Atzmaut faction.

Family

Wilf is married to German journalist Richard Gutjahr, and they have one child who was born in 2010.
