Early Life and Education

Ekaterine Tkeshelashvili was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. She graduated from the Tbilisi State University with a degree in international law and international relations.

Career in Law and Government

After graduation, Tkeshelashvili worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. In 2004-2005, she served as the deputy minister of justice for Georgia. From 2005-2006, she held the position of deputy minister of internal affairs.

In 2007, Tkeshelashvili was appointed as the chairman of the Tbilisi Court of Appeals. Later that year, she became the minister of justice for Georgia. She also served as the country's prosecutor general from 2008.

Minister of Foreign Affairs

In 2008, Tkeshelashvili was appointed as the minister of foreign affairs. Her appointment was met with criticism from the Georgian opposition, who questioned her qualifications for the role.

Personal Life

Tkeshelashvili is married with two children. She has expressed a passion for firearms, particularly pistols.
