Elaine Thompson is a Jamaican sprinter and track and field athlete. She was born on June 28, 1992, in Manchester, Jamaica. Thompson rose to prominence in the world of athletics with her exceptional speed and talent.
Olympic Success
In 2016, Thompson achieved great success at the Olympic Games held in Rio de Janeiro. She competed in the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints. In the preliminary rounds of the 100 meters, she finished first with a time of 11.21 seconds. Thompson advanced to the semifinals and once again secured the top spot with a time of 10.88 seconds.
