Elena Kuletskaya: From Supermodel to TV Host

Elena Kuletskaya, a Ukrainian supermodel, is known for her work as the face of Raff jewelry, as well as her appearances in campaigns for Nina Ricci, Etam, Helena Rubinstein, and Mary Kay. She has also gained popularity as a TV host, having presented fashion shows such as "Trendy," "Embassy of Beauty," "Shopaholics," and "The Ideal Pair."

Early Life and Education

Elena Kuletskaya was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, in August 1982. She and her older sister, Sasha, were raised in a strict household with a military discipline imposed by their father, Alexander. Completing homework to perfection was expected, and punishments were a consequence of poor grades. Extravagance in clothing and appearance was discouraged.

Despite her father's strictness, Elena defied expectations by getting her first bangs at age 15 and going to a disco. Her father was furious and personally removed the "outrageous" style from her head that evening.

After graduating from high school, Elena enrolled in the Law Faculty of Moscow State University. However, her modeling career forced her to switch to part-time studies. Completing her degree proved challenging due to constant travel and the demands of the fashion industry. Nevertheless, Elena promised her father that she would obtain a "basic education" and eventually kept her word. She later attended the prestigious Sorbonne University in Paris, studying economics. Elena is fluent in English and French.

Modeling Career

At the age of 18, Elena's modeling career took off when a Paris-based agency scout approached her on the streets of Moscow. She was offered a three-month assignment in France and eagerly accepted. Although her father initially opposed her decision, he eventually agreed after Elena argued that she would be too old to start a modeling career after finishing university.

Returning to Moscow after three months, Elena found it impossible to continue her full-time studies due to persistent calls from Paris agents. She returned to the French capital, enrolling in part-time education and establishing her modeling career.

As a supermodel, Elena worked with several agencies simultaneously. She became the face of Raff, a renowned British jewelry brand specializing in gold and diamonds. She also starred in advertising campaigns for Nina Ricci, Etam, Helena Rubinstein, Mary Kay, and Rolex. In her native country, she appeared in advertisements for Orbit chewing gum as "Miss Robot."

Television Career

Elena's television career commenced at the age of 26. She was invited to host several shows on Russian television, including the reality show "Cinderella 2.0" in 2010 and "Dancing with the Stars" with actor Yegor Pazenko in 2011.

Elena participated in various programs on Russia's Channel One, including "Cruel Games" (2010 and 2012), "Special Assignment" (2012), and "Fort Boyard" (2012).

Her modeling experience proved invaluable in her television work. Elena became a host for fashion programs such as "Trendy" (Friday channel), "Embassy of Beauty" (Yu channel), and "Shopaholics" (CTC TV).

In 2014, Elena launched the show "The Ideal Pair" on the Domashny TV channel. This program focused on helping couples improve their wardrobes and overall style. The same year, she began hosting the wedding show "My Wedding Is Better!" on the CTC Love channel.

"My Wedding Is Better!" became popular and was renewed for a second season.

Personal Life

Elena Kuletskaya gained widespread recognition in her home country after her romance with Dima Bilan became public. The couple met at Charles de Gaulle Airport in 2006. Elena's path crossed with Bilan's in a store when they both reached for the last copy of a Patricia Kaas CD. Dima graciously gave it to Elena, writing his phone number on it.

Their romance blossomed later when Bilan's producer, Yana Rudkovskaya, held a casting to find a female lead for his music video "It Was Love." Upon seeing Elena's photo, Bilan immediately chose her.

Their five-year relationship never culminated in marriage. Both were consumed by their careers and unwilling to compromise their ambitions for their relationship. In 2008, Bilan promised to marry Elena if he won the Eurovision Song Contest. Russia won, but the wedding never took place. The couple eventually split.

In 2011, Bilan claimed their romance was a publicity stunt. Elena, however, maintained that their relationship was genuine.

After her split with Bilan, Elena met Francesco, an American of Italian descent. They lived together for a while before their relationship ended, again due to conflicting career priorities.

Elena has addressed rumors of a romantic relationship with Hollywood star Mickey Rourke, but she has denied them, stating that Rourke was pursuing Nastya Makarenko.

In 2013, Elena found love again with cameraman Stanislav Romanovsky. They got engaged the same year and married in Provence in 2014. In 2016, they welcomed a daughter named Nika.

Current Projects

The show addresses various aspects of parenting and aims to support women during this challenging phase of their lives.
