Early Life and Career at Anderlecht
Elye Wahi is a Belgian footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for AS Monaco and the Belgian U-21 national team. Born in the Brussels municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Wahi began his footballing journey with the youth academy of Belgian powerhouse RSC Anderlecht.
Transfer to Monaco Academy
In 2018, Wahi made the move to Monaco's academy. He spent a season with the youth setup before being promoted to Monaco's reserve team for the 2019/2020 season, where he made 14 appearances.
Breakthrough with Monaco First Team
The 2020/2021 season marked a significant milestone in Wahi's career. He was included in the first-team squad and made his debut on September 27, 2020, in a Ligue 1 fixture against RC Strasbourg. Wahi entered the game as a substitute for Stevan Jovetić in the 61st minute.
International Career
In addition to his club career, Wahi has also represented Belgium at the U-16 and U-18 levels. His performances with the youth teams have earned him recognition as a promising talent within the Belgian national team setup.
