Early Years and Modeling Career

Elisha Cuthbert was raised in Vancouver, Canada, along with her parents, younger brother Jonathan, and sister Lee-Ann. She attended school in Montreal, in the Greenfield Park area, where she became fluent in French. Montreal, known as the "French America," is a unique cosmopolitan city with a mix of French and English cultures.

At a very young age, Elisha showed a passion for acting and creativity. She even managed to convince her parents that she was lactose intolerant, just so she wouldn't have to drink milk. This clever trick lasted for several years before her parents discovered the truth.

Elisha's mother, Patricia Cuthbert, supported her daughter's desire to become a model. At the age of 7, Elisha started modeling children's clothing for various catalogs and magazines, and sometimes even walked the runway for fashion shows. Despite her petite height of only 1.63 meters, she made a name for herself in the industry.

Acting Career

In 1997, Elisha's acting career took off when she was selected as a correspondent for the popular Canadian and American TV show "Popular Mechanics for Kids." She traveled around the world, experiencing adventures that other kids her age could only dream of. Her reporting skills caught the attention of the First Lady, Hillary Clinton, who invited Elisha to an unofficial meeting at the White House.

In the same year, Elisha appeared in her first feature film, "Dancing on the Moon," followed by the family fantasy film "Niko the Unicorn" (1998) and her first leading role in the low-budget film "Airspeed" (1998). She continued to build her acting experience with roles in "Who Gets the House?" (1999), "Time at the Top" (1999), and "Mail to the Chief" (2000), mostly playing the role of the "good girl."

Her breakthrough came in 2001 with the Canadian TV film "Lucky Girl," where she showcased her dramatic talent as Kathleen Palmerston, a teenage girl who becomes addicted to gambling. This role earned her a Gemini Award for Best Actress in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series.

Hollywood Success

Impressed by her dramatic potential, producers at Fox invited Elisha to audition for several pilot projects. She packed her bags and moved to Los Angeles with the determination to start her Hollywood career. It didn't take long for her to find success as she landed a role in the TV series "24" (2001-2004). Her character, Kim Bauer, the rebellious teenage daughter of the main protagonist, Jack Bauer, played by Kiefer Sutherland, became beloved by millions of viewers. Elisha even received a scar from a puma bite during the show and was nominated for a Teen Choice Award.

Alongside her role in "24," Elisha appeared in the comedies "Old School" (2003) and "Love Actually" (2003) alongside stars like Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, and Emma Thompson. However, her most famous film to date is "Girl Next Door" (2004), where she played the lead role of Danielle, a former porn star fighting for love. The film received nominations for "Breakthrough Female" and "Best Kiss" at the MTV Movie Awards in 2005.

Elisha continued her acting career with films like "House of Wax" and "Captivity." She has also pursued other interests such as snowboarding, photography, and painting. Despite her success, she dislikes flying on planes and has a superstition of always stepping onto the aircraft with her right foot first.

In her personal life, Elisha was rumored to be dating Justin Timberlake, but she is actually in a relationship with his best friend and personal assistant, Trace Ayala, who recently proposed to her.
