Biography of Elliot Schrage

Elliot Schrage is a lawyer and business consultant with twenty years of experience in international commercial strategies and public policy. He currently serves as the Vice President of Global Communications and Public Affairs at Google, where he is responsible for corporate communications and public relations, including media relations, shareholder engagement, and the formulation of public policy strategy.

Professional Experience

Before joining Google, Schrage held the position of Executive Director of the New York office at Clark & Weinstock, a consulting firm specializing in government policy and management issues. He also served as the Senior Fellow for International and Business Policy and the Bernard L. Schwartz Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. In addition, he worked as a consultant for various international corporations on corporate social responsibility.

Schrage previously served as the Vice President of Global Affairs at Gap Inc., the largest specialty retail company in the United States. In this role, he led government affairs initiatives and managed regulatory compliance. Prior to his time at Gap, Schrage worked as the Executive Director of the New York office at Clark & Weinstock.
