Biography of Emilio Santos
Emilio Santos, a Spanish footballer of the 1980s, was a central striker for the football club "Real". Known among fans as "El Buitre" (The Vulture), Emilio's playing style was reminiscent of a predatory bird, patiently waiting for the dangerous moment that could be turned into a goal. He joined the club in 1984 and remained a prominent figure until 1995, when he transferred to "Atletico Selaya" where he played for three seasons.
Partnerships and Achievements
In the 1980s, Emilio Santos played alongside the famous Mexican national team player, Hugo Sanchez. One of his partners was Miguel Michel as well. Throughout his career at "Real", Santos played 341 matches and scored 124 goals. He represented the Spanish national team from 1984 to 1992 and participated in the FIFA World Cup in 1986 and 1990, as well as the UEFA European Championship in 1988. Santos was also part of the victorious teams that won the UEFA Cup in 1985 and 1986, as well as the Spanish league championships in 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, and 1995.
