Biography of Eran Thomson
Eran Thomson is a writer, director, and advertising specialist. Despite battling cancer, Thomson has had a successful career in various fields. He emerged victorious in his fight against the disease and now actively works in the film and television industry, writing scripts, directing commercials, and mentoring talented comedians.

Born in San Francisco, Thomson's life took him to various places across the country, attending 11 different schools. He completed his education at Swarthmore School in Pennsylvania. After graduating, Thomson spent a year in New York City, working in nightclubs and fashion establishments. He then continued his education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington before transferring to the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.

To support himself, Thomson traded t-shirts he designed and dedicated time to restoring used sports cars. His active business endeavors earned him a spot on the cover of the college's "Money Magazine" annual publication. He also spent a year in Seville, Spain, where he gained additional expertise in the Spanish language.
Upon returning to Chapel Hill, Thomson obtained a journalism degree with a focus on advertising. He pursued additional courses in screenwriting, improvisational comedy, sketch comedy creation, and stand-up comedy. Working as a writer, director, and producer for Notice Corp, Thomson gained international recognition as a specialist in creating, developing, and producing advertising materials, television projects, documentaries, and films.
One of Thomson's notable projects was the highly successful political advertisement "Greens Party," created in collaboration with "Republic of Everyone" for the Australian television show "The Gruen Transfer." Todd Sampson, co-host of the show and CEO of Leo Burnett, described the ad as the "best political advertisement of all time." The ad garnered over 24,000 views in less than 24 hours.
Thomson is also known for founding the Laugh-Masters Academy, a comedy school in Sydney, Australia. The academy teaches the secrets of improvisational comedy and sketch comedy, with instructors from renowned comedy schools around the world.
During his youth, Thomson was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia. In 1999, he declined a bone marrow transplant to participate in the experimental procedure now known as "Gleevec." The experiment was successful, and Thomson overcame cancer completely. He now occasionally appears in advertisements for Novartis, promoting their medicinal products.
While battling cancer, Thomson realized the lack of resources focused on the physiological and psychological aspects of living with cancer for people his age. To address this gap, he created the "Prepare to Live" project, which gained worldwide recognition. As a "cancer conqueror," Thomson participated in the "Everest Rocks" project with the Love Hope Strength Foundation. He continues to speak at various events as a motivational speaker.
