Lars Grahn was a Swedish chess player, international arbiter, and a prominent figure in the international chess movement.

International Correspondence Chess Federation (ICCF)

Grahn was heavily involved in organizing international correspondence chess. In 1957, he became the Vice President of the International Correspondence Chess Federation (ICCF). He was a key figure in the re-establishment of the ICCF after World War II (1939-1945).

Director of ICCA and ICCH

From 1945, Grahn served as director of the ICCA (later the ICCF). He founded and published the organization's first printed journal, "ICCA. Monthly Resume" (1947-1948, 1952). Subsequently, he edited and published "Mail Chess" (1949-1951).

International Arbiter

Grahn obtained the title of International Arbiter in 1966. This designation recognized his expertise and impartiality in adjudicating chess matches.

Legacy
