Early Career and NHL Draft

Born and raised in the United States, Jordan Staal embarked on his professional hockey journey with the Carolina Hurricanes after being selected in the third round (71st overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.

NHL Career

Staal made his NHL debut with the Carolina Hurricanes in 2003. Throughout his NHL career, he played for several teams, including the Edmonton Oilers (2008-2009), Montreal Canadiens (2011-2013), and Dallas Stars (2013-2015). He was eventually traded to the Detroit Red Wings in 2015.
