Marius Lešund: Norwegian Ice Hockey Defenseman

Marius Lešund is a Norwegian ice hockey defenseman currently playing for Swedish club Mora IK in the HockeyAllsvenskan league. He is also a member of the Norwegian national ice hockey team.

Early Career and Professional Debut

Lešund began his ice hockey career with Manglerud Star, where he won the Norwegian U-17 championship in 2010.

At the age of sixteen, he made his debut for the senior team in the Norwegian Superliga, playing seven games in the 2010/11 season.

He spent most of his rookie season in the first division with Manglerud's farm team.

Swedish Adventure and Return to Norway

In 2011, Lešund joined Swedish club Timrå IK but only played two regular season games.

The following season, he returned to Norway and played for Sparta Warriors, where he became a regular and recorded 15 points.

Breakthrough in Sweden

In 2015, Lešund signed with Mora IK in the Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan.
In March 2016, Mora IK gained promotion to the Swedish Hockey League.

In January 2016, Lešund signed a two-year contract extension with Mora IK.

International Career

Lešund made his international debut for Norway at the 2011 World Junior Championship.

In 2014, he captained the Norwegian team at the World Junior Championship.

He debuted for the senior national team in 2013 and represented Norway at the 2017 World Championship.
