Early Life and Education

Aytkhozhin was born in Kazakhstan, and graduated from Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov in 1985 with a degree in journalism. He continued his education at Lomonosov University, completing his postgraduate studies in 1988. Aytkhozhin holds a Candidate of Science degree in Philology.

Early Career

After graduating, Aytkhozhin worked as an editor for KazTAGS from 1985 to 1989. He then became a senior lecturer at Kazakh State University named after S. M. Kirov from 1989 to 1990. From 1990 to 1991, he worked as a parliamentary observer and head of department for the newspaper "Sovety Kazakhstana."

Business and Political Career

Aytkhozhin transitioned to the business sector in 1991, serving as the director of the private enterprise "Beregen" until 1996. In April 1996, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan as the first secretary of the press service and head of the information and press department.

In January 1997, Aytkhozhin became head of the Press Service sector for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and later deputy head of the Press Service. He held this position until 2002, when he became deputy head of the Press Service of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In March 2004, Aytkhozhin was appointed adviser and counselor-envoy to the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation, and became permanent полномочный (plenipotentiary) Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

Return to Government

In August 2005, Aytkhozhin was appointed First Vice Minister of Culture, Information and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In February 2006, he became head of the Information and Analytical Center of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On February 8, 2007, Aytkhozhin was appointed Press Secretary to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was released from his position as head of the Information and Analytical Center.

Later Career

In August 2008, Aytkhozhin became the chairman of the board of the state holding company "Arna-Media", replacing Beibit Oksikbayevich Isabayev as Press Secretary of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2009, Aytkhozhin was appointed Managing Director of "Samruk-Kazyna", where he oversaw the information sector of the Fund.

Awards and Family

Aytkhozhin has received several awards, including the "Medal for the 10th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the "Medal for Outstanding Work" and the "Medal for the 10th Anniversary of Astana."

He is married with three sons, and is the brother of Ulan Saparovich Bayzhanov, Deputy Minister of State Revenues of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
