Canadian writer Eve Langlais is one of the top ten bestselling authors of 2013. Amazon includes her in the list of '25 Best Writers' and considers her a leader among authors in the paranormal romance genre. Langlais specializes in a sharp and captivating combination of erotica and mystical extraterrestrial fantasy, seasoned with a good dose of irony. The heroes of her novels often include werewolves and aliens, but they are all true machos and alpha males, driving both gentle and strong heroines crazy, and ready to do anything for them - even a small intergalactic war. Langlais' novels do not recognize conventions and prohibitions and are not the books that are read in public transport or during work breaks. At the same time, Eve herself openly calls herself quite boring, and her life - the most ordinary. She is the daughter of a military man, and in her childhood, she traveled all over Canada with her family. Now, in her early thirties, Eve Langlais lives in the province of Ontario with her beloved husband, three children, a fat cat, and a guinea pig. Classic fantasy heroes - wizards, sorcerers, and dragons - are presented in the trilogy 'The Realm'. The heroine of the first book, 'Wizard's Chance', is transported from her everyday life to a tropical island, where she experiences a real magical ball of romantic and dangerous adventures. The dragon hunter, the hero of the second book, 'The Hunter', disguises himself as an ordinary neighbor, and in 'Chance's Game', the heroine herself has to engage in a battle with a wizard and, as often happens in books of this genre, save the universe. Perhaps among Eve Langlais' constantly updating series of novels, one can find fantasy for every taste. One of the highest rated standalone novels by the writer is 'A Ghostly Ménage'. The traditional plot about a haunted house that can gain freedom thanks to a beautiful new owner takes an unexpected turn when the ghostly guests turn out to be two twin brothers transformed into werewolves by evil spells.
