Early Life and Career
Ever Banega is an Argentine football player who currently plays as a central midfielder for Valencia CF and the Argentina national team. He was born on June 29, 1988, in Rosario, Argentina. Banega began his football career at the youth academy of Boca Juniors.
Rise to Prominence
Banega made his professional debut for Boca Juniors on February 10, 2007, in a victorious match against Banfield. In his first year of senior-level performances, Banega quickly became one of the key players for Boca Juniors and attracted the attention of top European clubs, including Barcelona, Milan, and Juventus.
Move to Valencia
On January 5, 2008, Banega signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with Valencia CF. The club paid a transfer fee of €18 million for his services. Just eight days later, Banega made his debut for Valencia in a La Liga match against Atletico Madrid, coming on as a substitute in the second half. In his debut season in Spain, Banega played 12 matches in La Liga and helped Valencia win the Copa del Rey.
International Career
On February 6, 2008, Banega made his debut for the Argentina national team in a friendly match against Guatemala, which Argentina won 5-0. In June 2008, he was included in the Argentina squad for the Olympic Games in Beijing.
