Biography of Evgeny Akimov
Evgeny Akimov is an operatic tenor and soloist at the Mariinsky Theatre. He joined the Mariinsky Theatre company in 1996 and has since become a renowned figure in the world of opera.
Achievements
Evgeny Akimov has received several accolades for his outstanding talent and contributions to the arts. He is a Honored Artist of Russia and a laureate of the I.N. Pechkovsky International Competition (St. Petersburg, 1994). He has also won the prestigious national theatre award, the Golden Mask, in 1997 and 2002. Additionally, he has been recognized with the Golden Sofit, the highest theatre award in St. Petersburg, in 2001 and 2004.
Early Life and Education
Evgeny Akimov graduated from the vocal faculty of the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory, where he studied under the renowned teacher L. Morozov. Prior to joining the Mariinsky Theatre, he was a soloist at the Children's Music Theatre "Zazerkalye" from 1991 to 1996.
