Farhat Abdrayimov: A Kazakhstani Actor's Journey

Farhat Nursultanovich Abdrayimov, a renowned Kazakhstani actor, was born on January 21, 1966, in Almaty. His father, Nursultan Abdrayimov, was Kazakh, while his mother, Ushukhan Mamedovna Abdrayimova, was Uyghur.

Early Life and Education

In 1988, Abdrayimov graduated from the Faculty of Food Production Technology and Management at the Almaty Technological Institute, earning an engineering degree. From 1988 onwards, he served as director of the "Tourist" restaurant.

Career in Film

In 1994, Abdrayimov's career took a significant turn when he joined the Kazakhfilm studio (later renamed A. O. Kazakhfilm im. Sh. A. Aimanov). He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a member of the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan in 2005.

Political Involvement

Beyond his acting career, Abdrayimov has also been active in politics. In 2007, he became a member of the Political Bureau of the Nur Otan party.

Personal Life and Beliefs

Abdrayimov's religious beliefs are Muslim. He admires political figures such as Winston Churchill and Nursultan Nazarbayev and believes that Казахстан's future will be marked by both challenges and triumphs.

In his personal life, Abdrayimov is married to Viktoria Abdrayimova (born 1971), an accountant. They have two sons, Asan (born 1991) and Temirlan (born 2002).

Outside of work, Abdrayimov enjoys playing billiards and swimming. His literary preferences include the works of Vasily Shukshin, Sergey Dovlatov, Anton Chekhov, and Chinghiz Aitmatov.
