Early Life and Education
Born on July 1, 1907, in Odessa, Azerbaijan, Kadri graduated from both a pedagogical and a theatrical technical school in Baku in 1926. She commenced her acting career in the Turkic Workers' Theater.
Performance Career
From 1932 to 1935, Kadri performed in the Baku Russian Theater. In 1935, she became a prominent actress at the M. Azizbekov Azerbaijan Theater in Baku, where she created unforgettable characters. Her notable roles included Gultekin in "Aydin," Solmaz in "The Bride of Fire," Sona in "In 1905," Mukhabbat in "Mukhabbat," Khurraman in "Vagif," Larisa and Katerina in "The Dowry" and "The Storm," and Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet."
Pedagogical Contributions
Kadri also dedicated herself to teaching, first at the theater technical school and later at the M. A. Aliyev Azerbaijan Theater Institute. Through her guidance, she nurtured budding actors and directors, contributing significantly to the development of Azerbaijani theater.
Recognition and Legacy
Kadri received numerous accolades, including two orders and several medals. Her remarkable career left an enduring mark on Azerbaijani stage culture. She passed away in Baku on February 29, 1968. Her legacy continues to inspire generations of Azerbaijani artists.
