Early Life and Education
Lipin was born in Belarus and studied at the Zhirovichi Theological School and the Lithuanian Theological Seminary from 1900 to 1907. He was an active participant in student protests, leading to his arrest during his time at the University of Tartu.
Academic Career
After graduating from the University of Tartu, Lipin joined the Belarusian Socialist Assembly (BSG) from 1906 to 1912. He taught privately in Russia before returning to Belarus in 1918 with the Minsk Teacher's Institute, which had evacuated to Yaroslavl. He taught philology and history at the Maryino-Gorsk Agricultural Technical School.
Pedagogical Leadership
Lipin served as director of the Bobruisk Pedagogical Technical School from 1923 to 1924 and the Rogachev Pedagogical Technical School from 1924 to 1927. He taught at the Gomel Pedagogical Technical School from 1927 to 1930 and wrote memoirs about Maksim Bahdanovich.
Political Involvement and Arrest
Lipin was arrested on July 15, 1930, in connection with the "Union of Liberation of Belarus" case. On April 10, 1931, he was sentenced by the Collegium of the OGPU to five years of exile in Ufa. His fate after this point remains unknown.
