John Mensah: A Ghanaian Defender

John Mensah is a Ghanaian footballer who currently plays as a defender for Norwegian club Lillestrøm. He is also a former member of the Ghana national team.

Early Career and Danish Clubs

Mensah began his career with Danish club Boldklubben before moving to Farum. In 2003, he joined Nordsjælland, where he gained recognition for his defensive abilities.

Breakthrough at Utrecht

In 2006, Mensah signed for Dutch club Utrecht. He quickly became a regular in the starting lineup and established himself as one of the most promising defenders in the Eredivisie.

International Career

Mensah's Ghanaian heritage made him eligible to represent the Black Stars. He made his international debut in 2005 and played in 11 matches for his country. He was a part of the team that participated in the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.

Greek Journey with Aris

In August 2011, Mensah moved to Greek club Aris, where he stayed until 2013. He became a key player for Aris, helping the team achieve respectable results in the Super League Greece.

Return to Norway

After his departure from Aris, Mensah returned to Norway and joined Lillestrøm. He has been a valuable asset to the team, providing experience and leadership to the defense.
