Early Life and Career

Silvan Aegerter, a Swiss defender, was born in the city of Lucerne and began his football journey in his hometown. In 2007, he joined the youth team of Young Boys, a prominent Swiss football club.

Debut with Young Boys

Aegerter's professional debut came on September 14, 2008, when he played in an away match against Bellinzona for the Swiss Super League. After that, the young defender became a regular starter for the club, accumulating 25 more appearances by the end of the season.

Impressive Season and First Goal

During the 2009-2010 season, Aegerter played in 46 matches for Young Boys across various tournaments. On April 10, 2010, he scored his maiden goal in a Swiss Super League match against Bellinzona, securing a victory for his team in the dying moments of the game.

Success in Champions League and International Debut

Aegerter played a pivotal role in Young Boys' qualification for the 2010-2011 UEFA Champions League, helping them overcome Fenerbahce and claiming a victory in the first leg against Tottenham Hotspur. However, he did not feature in the second leg, which Tottenham won 4-0.
