Early Life and Career

Jürgen Damm was born into a relatively successful family. His grandfather on his father's side was originally from Germany, and both he and Jürgen had German passports. He was born in the coastal state of Veracruz, Mexico, but his family later moved to Toronto, Canada when he was just 2 years old. The family's move to Canada was prompted by his father's job. However, they did not stay in Canada for long, returning to Mexico and settling in Guadalajara. It was here that Damm's football career began.

Despite his passion for football, Damm's father emphasized the importance of education and did not allow him to join a football club until he was 17 years old. Before that, Damm focused on his studies, pursuing a business management degree. His sporting career started when he was invited to join the 'Atlas' team by Magdaleno Mercado. However, he only spent 6 months with the team, as he felt he was not given enough playing time. He then moved to 'Estudiantes Tecos' under Francisco Chavez when he was 18 years old. Although his time with the team was not very productive, he did make his debut in the 'Liga MX' on March 25, 2012, in a match against 'Monterrey'.

In the following season, he helped his team reach the 'Clausura 2014' final, playing in all the playoff games. Although 'Pachuca' lost in the final against 'Leon', Damm's performance was impressive.

During the 2014 season, Damm suffered an injury in the second game of the year, which forced him to miss the next 8 matches. However, he made a successful comeback on October 1, 2014. He also participated in the '2014–15 CONCACAF Champions League' tournament, scoring a goal against 'Municipal'.

Damm remains a key player for 'Pachuca' and has attracted interest from clubs such as 'Manchester United' and 'Oviedo'. His performances have caught the attention of international teams, and he had the choice to play for either the Mexican or German national team due to his heritage. Ultimately, he chose to represent Mexico. He made his international debut on March 28, 2015, in a friendly match against Ecuador. Since then, he has continued to make significant contributions to both his club and national team.
