Hřebík earned a degree in physical education and Russian language.
Coaching Career
Early Success in Czech RepublicEarly in his coaching career, Hřebík guided the modest club Petra Drnovice from the Czech fourth division to the first division in the 1980s. He repeated this feat with two other Czech clubs, earning them promotions to the top tier.
Victories in Slovakia and Czech Republic
In 2003, Hřebík led Slovak club Matador Púchov to victory in the Slovak Cup. The following year, he guided Czech club Baník Ostrava to the Czech league title. In the spring of 2006, he achieved a "golden double" (winning both the league title and cup) with Slovak club Ružomberok.
Russian and Czech Stints
