His works adorned the foyer of the prestigious Prague National Theatre, a collaboration with the esteemed artist Mikoláš Aleš in 1881. Among his notable murals are "Legend," "Human Life," "History," "Heroic Song," and the triptych "Decline, Resurgence, and Golden Age," which allegorically portrays the eight muses. These masterworks demonstrate Ženíšek's exceptional technical prowess and command of composition.
Diverse Artistic Endeavors
Beyond his monumental works, Ženíšek also excelled in portrait painting, producing approximately 80 portraits. His versatility extended to stained glass artistry, as evidenced by the windows he created for the Church of Sts. Cyril and Methodius in Karlín. Additionally, Ženíšek shared his knowledge and skills as a professor at the Higher School of Applied Arts in Prague from 1885 to 1896, and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague from 1896 to 1915.
