Olympian Medalist

American boxer Orlando Gilmore earned a bronze medal at the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis. Competing in the featherweight division (up to 125 pounds), Gilmore lost in the semifinals to Frank Heller. However, as only three boxers participated in the event, Gilmore was awarded a bronze medal.

Professional Career

Gilmore transitioned to professional boxing after the Olympics. He fought 16 matches from March 27, 1906, to September 12, 1916. Of these, he won 7, lost 6, and drew 3. Despite his modest professional record, Gilmore's Olympic achievement remains a testament to his boxing prowess.
