Early CareerMohammed Al-Khilaiwi, a renowned Saudi Arabian footballer, began his professional career in 1991 with Al-Shabab Riyadh. During his eight-year stint with the club, he achieved remarkable success, winning two Saudi Arabian Premier League titles, three Crown Prince Cups, and several other prestigious regional trophies.
International Debut and World Cup Glory
In 1992, Al-Khilaiwi made his international debut for Saudi Arabia. He was a key member of the national team that stunned the football world by qualifying for the 1994 FIFA World Cup. At the tournament, he showcased his exceptional skills, scoring two goals and helping his team reach the Round of 16. Al-Khilaiwi also participated in the 1998 World Cup.
Triumphant Return to Riyadh
After a brief spell with Sichuan Quanxing Lanjiu in China, Al-Khilaiwi returned to Riyadh in 1999 and joined Al-Nassr. With his new club, he continued to collect silverware, winning the Arab Cup Winners' Cup and Arab Super Cup in 2001. In addition, Al-Nassr received the Fair Play Award at the FIFA Club World Cup 2000.
