Early Life and EducationGabriel Boric Font was born on February 11, 1986, in Punta Arenas, Chile. His Croatian-born father worked for an oil and gas company, while his Catalan-Spanish mother was a homemaker. From 1991 to 2003, Boric attended the British School in Punta Arenas before moving to Santiago to pursue law at the University of Chile in 2004.
Student Activism
Boric's political journey began in the late 1990s when he participated in the re-establishment of the Punta Arenas High School Students' Federation.
