Early Life and Education

Born in Gaujiena in 1945, Andrejs Zeibots was raised by his mother, Marta, and his stepfather, Eduards Paikens. Exhibiting a multifaceted talent, he excelled not only in technical subjects but also in music. His stepfather's entrepreneurial endeavors, which included opening an auto repair shop, led to his arrest and imprisonment for five years as a "capitalist."

Zeibots attended high school in Gaujiena and spent two years at the Smiltene Music School, where he was a standout student. Influenced by his mother's belief that political change was imminent, he refrained from joining the Young Pioneer organization. Upon graduating from high school, Zeibots pursued higher education in Leningrad.
