Early Life and Career
Gennadiy Altman was born into a family with a strong sporting heritage. His father, Semyon Iosifovich Altman, was a renowned football coach, while his grandfather, F. Futterman, was a заслуженный мастер спорта in basketball.
Altman began his football career as a youth player at Sdyushor Chornomorets. He later played for several professional clubs, including Dynamo Odessa, Zimbru Chisinau, Metalurh Donetsk, Khimki, Chornomorets Odessa, Ilyichevets Mariupol, and Oleksandriya.
Achievements
During his playing career, Altman achieved notable success. He was part of the Zimbru Chisinau team that won the Moldovan Championship in 1999.
Coaching Career
After retiring as a player, Altman transitioned to coaching. In January 2011, he joined the staff of Tavriya as a goalkeeper coach. Since then, he has continued to work with various clubs, guiding their goalkeepers to improve their skills and contribute to team success.
