Biography of Gennady Malkin
Gennady Malkin is an aphorist and author of numerous collections of aphorisms, as well as a three-volume series in the "Golden Series". He is the laureate of awards such as the "Golden Calf", "Time-Out", and others. His memoirs, "The Secret of Military Art", and a collection of his aphorisms, "Join the Ranks of the Outcasts", were published in issue number 29 of "IZH" magazine.

Childhood and Youth
Gennady Malkin believes that in childhood, the world is harmonious and simple. A piece of bread with salt is a satisfying meal, and a lesson by the "smokehouse" holds great significance. He cherishes his teachers, who imparted knowledge not as a vaccination against the heavy consequences of talent. Malkin is grateful to them, remembers them by name, and strives not to receive any more bad grades for foolish behavior. Only his parents, the creators of a whole world of worthy and kind deeds, were closer to him. A slice of black bread, a glass of warm milk from a neighbor's cow, and a bed by the stove where a gray, soft cat purred were the simple pleasures of his childhood. The past is dear in itself and unique in its anticipation.
Youth brought with it the first taste of love, which felt like falling upwards. Poetry pushed the world away in the name of infatuation. As youth promised to return, it grew stronger on its feet. Poetry lasted until irony came to its rescue, protecting Malkin from cynicism. The optimism of ignorance fades away, and adult life begins.
Adult Life
This is not about joining a party that taught us to think in newspaper headlines and know that justice exists only for those who have their share. Many people were striving for success, wealth, and the realization of their potential. Perhaps someone's conscience haunted them at night, not distracting from daily worries and vigilance. However, the stains of a guilty conscience always peek through like stale cuffs.
After graduating from medical school, Malkin went to work in the city of Gzhatsk, where he rented a small room near the Gagarin family's house. The ancient city launched a hero into space, while the local residents remained stuck in the mud, without food, milk, or bread, watching mirages turn into deserts. The consciousness of this hopeless crumpled state has stayed with Malkin forever. The years passed by with birthdays, mistakes...
Unfortunately, adults never have the chance to come of age. The best years are spent just to survive until the worst ones, and as a consolation, one reassures themselves that those who lived without mistakes only copied someone else's composition. Idealists reduce life to a minimum, which pushes one to contemplate the essence and realize that a novel is an underdeveloped aphorism.
Malkin writes for himself, for friends, not for large organizations. The most important news in life is only what you have experienced, evaluated, or accepted. There are no recommendations for humanity. Unfulfilled lives are like soldiers marching to the sauna. Those who truly know life often have little interesting to share.
