Jeff Neil: Former Chairman of the Libertarian National Committee

Jeff Neil is an American politician who served as the Chairman of the Libertarian National Committee (LNC), the executive body of the United States Libertarian Party. He held the position for two non-consecutive terms.

First Term as LNC Chairman (2002-2004)

Neil's first term as LNC Chairman spanned from 2002 to 2004. At the beginning of this term, he worked without salary for nine months to help the party financially. He was re-elected for a second term from 2012 to 2014.

Treasurer of the LNC (2006)

In 2006, Neil was elected Treasurer of the LNC. He resigned from this position in January 2007 and was replaced by Aaron Starr. Neil later stated that he resigned because the committee had adopted an imbalanced $500,000 budget over his objection.

Second Term as LNC Chairman (2012-2014)

The 2012 Libertarian National Convention, held from May 2-6, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada, featured two days of elections for LNC officers and members. Jeff Neil was elected Chairman as part of these elections.
