Early Life and Education

Born on March 23, 1948, in Moscow, Russia, the scientist began his academic journey at the Moscow Institute of Railway Engineers (MIIT), graduating with honors in 1972, specializing in Automation, Telemechanics, and Communication in Railway Transportation.

Research Career

From 1972 to 1974, he served as a research intern in the Department of Radio Engineering and Telecommunications. In 1974, he became an aspirant and defended his candidate's dissertation in 1975, focusing on telemetric information transmission systems.

Academic Appointments

From 1976 to 1986, he held assistant and associate professor positions in the Department of Radio Engineering and Telecommunications. In 1986, he defended his doctoral dissertation on reconstituting irregularly discretized signals in discrete systems.

In 1987, he became head of the Department of Radio Engineering and Telecommunications and simultaneously served as dean of the Faculty of Railway Automation, Telemechanics, and Communication from 1987 to 1998. From 1998 to 2007, he directed the Institute of Control Systems, Telecommunications, and Electrification (ISUTE) at MIIT.

Academic Accomplishments

Throughout his career, the scientist authored 182 scientific articles, 24 textbooks and educational materials, and 12 monographs. He successfully guided two students to doctoral degrees and 12 to candidate of science degrees.

Honors and Recognition

In 2009, the scientist was awarded the title of Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation. He is also a member of the Russian Academy of Transport.
