Early Life and Career
Georgiy Mitrofanovich Maslov was born in 1905 in Feodosiya, Ukraine, to a working-class family. From 1919 to 1921, he worked as a laborer in a dockyard. From 1921 to 1927, he served in the special department in Feodosiya and worked as a dockworker in Feodosiya and Novorossiysk.
Education and Academic Career
In 1933, Maslov was admitted into the Leningrad Law Institute. He completed his undergraduate studies in 1937 and continued his education in graduate school until 1940. From 1940 to 1942, he worked as a senior lecturer at the Alma-Ata Law Institute. In 1941, he was awarded the title of docent.
From 1951 to 1957, Maslov was the head of the Department of Land, Collective Farm, and Labor Law at the Saratov Law Institute named after D.I. Kursky. From 1952 to 1956, he served as the director of the institute.
Public Service
From February 1942 to 1951, Maslov held the position of head of the South Kazakhstan regional justice department. Until 1946, he was a consultant to the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR.
Legacy
Maslov's contributions left a lasting legacy at the Alma-Ata Law Institute, where he worked as an alumnus of the Leningrad Law Institute. He passed away in Saratov in 1957.
