Georgiy Tuka, a prominent Ukrainian state and public figure, is known for his leadership and activism.

Early Life and Education

Born in 1963, Tuka graduated from the Sevastopol Instrument Engineering Institute in 1991. He later studied at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute from 1982 to 1986, specializing in automated systems management.

Career before Activism

Tuka worked in various commercial sectors before becoming actively involved in the Euromaidan movement. From 2009 to 2010, he served as head of sales at En-Ti Telecom, followed by a stint as director of Zenit-Telecom from 2011 to 2012.

Volunteer Activities

In 2014, Tuka founded the "People's Rear" volunteer organization. The group provided essential supplies and equipment to over 20 military units, including vehicles, thermal imagers, and drones.

Myrotvorets Website

Under Tuka's leadership, the "People's Rear" launched the "Myrotvorets" website in 2014. The website published personal data of individuals deemed traitors, militants, or terrorists. Controversially, personal information of individuals who were later assassinated was found on the website.

Head of Luhansk Regional State Administration

In July 2015, Tuka was appointed head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration. He prioritized combating corruption and contraband smuggling in the conflict-ridden region.

Deputy Minister and Political Views

After leaving his post in the Luhansk Regional State Administration in 2016, Tuka became deputy minister for temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons. He has expressed support for authoritarianism, calling for a strong leader to implement significant political reforms.

Family and Honors

Tuka's eldest son served in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine. His daughter is a schoolgirl. He has been awarded the Order of Merit, III Degree, for his contributions to the country.
