President of ProSports Management

Gennady Tkachenko, the President of ProSports Management, who visited the "SE" editorial office yesterday, expressed his opinion that the most quality selection of clubs-contenders for high places was carried out by "Dynamo" during the off-season, and he was particularly impressed by the transfer of Voronin to the blue and white team. According to Tkachenko, Voronin made the brightest impression on him in the past two rounds. In the match against Spartak, playing out of position as a forward, he constantly created tension and played phenomenally against CSKA. He was positioned between the lines and put opponents in a dilemma, whether to mark the central defender or the defensive midfielder. Voronin won every challenge and made numerous sharp passes.

High Evaluation of Dynamo's Selection

When asked which club's selection he appreciates the most, Tkachenko named "Dynamo". He explained that "Lokomotiv" also wanted to make a quality selection but couldn't acquire Pavlyuchenko and Izmailov. According to Tkachenko, Maicon and Ignatyev are players for the future. "Lokomotiv" only managed to sign Tarasov and Aliev, and Tkachenko mentioned that emotionally, Aliev's transfer was one of the hardest for him, along with the transfer of Semshov.

Transfer from Dynamo to Zenit

When asked about transfers from Dynamo to Zenit or vice versa, Tkachenko believes it would be a return transfer. He mentioned that when Semshov left Dynamo, Sergey Vadimovich Stepashin accused agents in an interview, but the truth was that besides Stepashin and Semshov himself, no one in Dynamo wanted Igor to stay.

The Most Well-Equipped Russian Team

According to Tkachenko, "Rostov" is the most well-equipped Russian team, with two players for each position. In terms of quality, Tkachenko believes that "Rubin" is probably the best. When asked if they lacked a bench in matches against "Wolfsburg", Tkachenko attributed it to injuries, with three main players being out of action. However, he raised the question whether it was a force majeure or a deficiency in selection.

Opinion on Newcomer Coach Spalletti

Tkachenko praised Luciano Spalletti as one of the best coaches in Europe and a very positive person in football, second only to Koller. He respects Zenit and wishes them success, but believes that the club still needs to become "Zenit United". When asked if he was referring to the attitude towards Bystrov, Tkachenko replied that it's not only about him. He emphasized that any discussions should take place within the team and that competition within a sports organization, whether between the coach and the president, coach and players, or director and subordinates, leads to failure. Different age groups and players have different interests, but the key is for groups to have a friendly relationship with each other and to prioritize what is best for the club. Tkachenko believes that Zenit is handling the task of creating the right atmosphere thanks to positive individuals like Spalletti, Radimov, and Mitrofanov.
