Givi Nodia was a professional football player, a forward, and a master of sports of international class. He had a brave and carefree youth, spent chasing the ball in the air, although it may not have received much development. However, it was memorable. At the age of 17, he joined the Kutaissi "Torpedo" team, and two years later, he moved to the Tbilisi "Dynamo". At 18, he played for the Soviet youth team, which won the UEFA tournament and Nodia became the European champion.
