Biography of Greta Scacchi
Greta Scacchi was born in Milan, Italy, to an English dancer and an Italian artist. In 1975, her parents moved to Australia. She received her education at the University of Western Australia and at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

Early Career
Greta Scacchi first gained attention for her role as a grandmother in the TV series "Heat and Dust" (1983) and as a secretary in the film "The Coca-Cola Kid" (1985). Despite participating in projects such as "White Mischief" (1988) and "Presumed Innocent" (1990), she was criticized for her lack of versatility in her performances during the late 80s.
Breakthrough
Everything changed for Scacchi after her role in Robert Altman's film "The Player" (1992). Her performance was highly praised, and she began to receive more diverse and challenging roles.
