Guillermo Romo

Early Career

Previously, Guillermo was the owner of Grupo Industrial Herradura, S.A. de C.V. Later, he sold this company to Brown-Forman Corp, the producer of the legendary whiskey Jack Daniels, for a staggering $876 million. However, it is important to note that Guillermo did not sell everything related to Herradura. He retained agricultural lands and remained the main supplier of raw materials for the company.

Family Legacy

Guillermo comes from a long line of businessmen, being the sixth generation in his family. Throughout most of his career, he actively developed the family enterprise, venturing into various industries.

Current Ventures

Currently, Guillermo Romo is the largest shareholder of both Grupo Mega and Milleslime. Grupo Mega specializes in providing financial solutions to entrepreneurs who have not yet integrated into the existing financial system, while Milleslime focuses on private investments. He also holds a stake in the brokerage group Global Securities.

Philanthropic Work

Guillermo Romo is the founder of the Americas Business Council Foundation, a foundation that supports and solves the problems of entrepreneurs at various levels in North and South America. He personally leads the ABC Fellows project, which brings together 20 leading innovators under the age of 40 from the Western Hemisphere. Together, the members of ABC Fellows work to address political, environmental, religious, and economic challenges.

Endeavor Mexico

Currently, Guillermo Romo serves on the board of directors of Endeavor Mexico. Endeavor is an international non-profit organization that supports and sponsors talented entrepreneurs from developing countries. In many ways, Guillermo himself fits this description, which only strengthens his desire to support his less fortunate colleagues. He understands that not every entrepreneur can boast five generations of business predecessors and believes that even a small amount of help at the right moment can greatly impact the future development of a business.
