Early Life and EducationBorn on September 22, 1986, in Uralsk, Kazakhstan, Gulnara Silbayeva exhibited an energetic spirit from a young age. Her parents enrolled her in the Children and Youth Studio at the A.N. Ostrovsky City Drama Theater when she was only 8 years old. By the age of 16, she had completed three disciplines: theater, choreography, and vocals.
Renowned for her exceptional coloratura soprano voice, Silbayeva was offered an opportunity to further her musical education at the prestigious Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory. However, she chose to pursue her education in Almaty, where she enrolled at KIMEP in marketing after initially intending to study accounting.
KVN: A Platform for Talent
Silbayeva's involvement in KVN began during her school years. In university, she joined the KIMEP team, where her passion for the game consumed her. Along with her university team, she achieved dominance in all Kazakhstani leagues.
In 2010, producer Nurlan Koyambaev invited Silbayeva to join the "Kazakhs" team for the KVN Higher League. As the only woman on an otherwise all-male team, she captivated audiences with her energetic performances, including her rendition of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive."
The "Kazakhs" team ultimately secured the runner-up position in the 2010 KVN final. While the result initially disappointed her, Silbayeva recognized the value of the experience.
Transition to Film
After bidding farewell to KVN, Silbayeva embarked on a new chapter in her career as an actress. She initially played minor roles in television series such as "Classmates" and "25th Kilometer." However, her breakthrough came in the comedic series "The Bazarybayevs," produced by Koyambaev and featuring members of the "Kazakhs" team.
Silbayeva has since appeared in films and series such as "Geyser," "Milk, Sour Cream, Cottage Cheese," "Glamour for Dummies," and "For Love." She is known for her willingness to go the extra mile for her roles, including shaving her head and performing nude scenes.
Personal Life and Aspirations
Silbayeva was in a long-term relationship with screenwriter Apollon Korchinsky, who also served as her manager. However, they parted ways in 2015. Silbayeva currently has no romantic relationships.
Her future aspirations include finding a worthy partner and establishing a close and open relationship with her future children. Silbayeva also maintains an active social media presence on Instagram, showcasing her travels, event appearances, and behind-the-scenes footage from her projects.
