Gunn-Rita Dahle is a Norwegian cyclist, a legend in cross-country mountain biking, an Olympic champion, and a six-time world champion. She was born on February 10, 1973. Dahle won the women's cross-country, becoming the gold medalist at the 2004 Olympic Games and also being a multiple world champion. She won six World Championships and six European Championships, including four consecutive victories in the XC World Cup of the International Cycling Union (UCI) in Kluisbergen, Belgium. Dahle confirmed her status as a cross-country legend by leaving behind Margarita Fullana from Spain and Maja Wloszczowska from Poland right from the start of the competition. "I'm a little surprised at how easily I managed to surpass all my opponents," Dahle admitted.
