Early Life and Education
Hallak Aminov was born on April 20 (May 3), 1915, in the village of Iskogar, Uzbekistan. He was a member of the Uzbek ethnic group and came from a peasant family. Aminov completed his secondary education and worked as a brigadier in a collective farm before joining the Red Army.
Military Service
In December 1941, Aminov enlisted in the Red Army and was assigned to the 60th Guards Cavalry Regiment of the 16th Guards Chernihiv Cavalry Division. In November 1942, he was deployed to the front lines.
Heroic Actions at the Battle of the Dnieper
On September 27, 1943, Aminov distinguished himself during the Battle of the Dnieper. As part of an assault force, he crossed the Dnieper River near the town of Komarin, Ukraine. His squad established a beachhead and assisted in the crossing of the entire squadron.
Recognition and Decorations
For his bravery, Aminov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union on January 15, 1944. He also received the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Patriotic War (first degree), and the Order of the Badge of Honor. Additionally, he was awarded various medals, including:
