Early Career and Academy Experience

Haris Seferovic, a Swiss footballer of Bosnian descent, was born on February 22, 1992, in Sursee, Switzerland. His football journey began in 1999 when he joined FC Sursee's academy, where he spent five years honing his skills. Seferovic's exceptional abilities soon caught the attention of other Swiss academies.

In 2004, he moved to FC Lucerne's academy, where he spent three seasons, further enhancing his development. From 2007 to 2009, Seferovic was a member of the prestigious Grasshoppers academy, where he received invaluable training for a professional football career.

Professional Debut and European Clubs

In 2009, Seferovic signed his first professional contract with Grasshoppers, joining the first team. Despite appearing in only three matches during the 2009/10 season, his talent had already attracted attention from several European clubs.

In the summer of 2010, Seferovic joined Italian club Fiorentina. However, he found limited opportunities, making just one appearance in the season. In 2011, he returned to Switzerland, joining Xamax for half a season before moving on loan to Lecce in January 2012.

On August 1, 2014, Seferovic moved to Eintracht Frankfurt for €3.3 million, where he scored his first goal on August 23 against Freiburg. In June 2017, he signed a five-year contract with Portuguese club Benfica.

International Career

Seferovic represented Switzerland at the U-17 level, playing a pivotal role in their victory at the World Cup in Nigeria. He also played for the U-19 and U-21 teams before making his senior debut in 2013.
