Early Life and Career

Ingrid Thulin was born in Sollefteå, Sweden. In 1949, she made her film debut in ''Only a Mother''. She later joined the Malmö City Theatre, where she met Ingmar Bergman.

Collaboration with Ingmar Bergman

In 1953, Thulin starred in Bergman's breakthrough film ''Summer with Monika'', which launched her career. She went on to appear in nine more of his films, including ''Wild Strawberries'' (1957), ''The Seventh Seal'' (1957), and ''Persona'' (1966).

Theatre and Television

Thulin excelled on both stage and screen. She performed in iconic plays such as Shakespeare's ''Hamlet'', Molière's ''Don Juan'', and Ibsen's ''The Wild Duck''. She also appeared in television productions, including the Swedish miniseries ''Häxan'' (1970).
