Early Life and Career

Born in Bergen, Norway, Haavard Holmefjord Lorentzen began skating at the age of 8.

Competed in three Junior World Championships, earning a gold medal in the team pursuit in 2010 and 2012.

Also won silver and two bronze medals in individual events at Junior Worlds.

Senior Career

Participated in the 2012 World Sprint Championships, finishing 29th overall.

Raced at the 2012 World Single Distances Championships, placing 24th in the 1500 meters.

Competing in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Lorentzen took 11th and 16th in the 1000 meters and 1500 meters, respectively.
