Hailey Kiyoko Alcroft (born April 3, 1991) is an American actress, dancer, singer, and musician.
Early Life and Music Career
Hailey was born in Los Angeles, California, to actor Jamie Alcroft and figure skater Sarah Kawahara. Her mother is of Japanese descent and her father is of English and Irish ancestry.
In 2007, Hailey formed the band "Hede" and released five songs on Myspace. She also directed a music video for their song "Warehouse." The band disbanded in 2008. From 2007 to 2011, she was a member of the girl group "The Stunners."
Acting Career
Hailey rose to fame for her role as Stevie Nichols in the Disney Channel series "Wizards of Waverly Place" in 2010. She gained further recognition as Stella Yamada in the Disney Channel movie "Lemonade Mouth" in 2011.
Her popularity soared when she played Velma Dinkley in "Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins" and "Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster." She has also appeared in the sitcoms "Awkward" and "Make It or Break It," as well as the films "Blue Lagoon: The Awakening" and "Zick and Luther."
In 2013, Hailey guest-starred in an episode of "The Vampire Diaries." In 2014, she appeared in five episodes of the television series "The Fosters."
Television Roles
From 2015 to 2016, Hailey played a lead role in the CBS drama "CSI: Cyber." She released the music video for her song "Girls Like Girls" in 2015.
Personal Life
On August 14, 2017, Hailey came out as a lesbian in an interview with Elle magazine.
