Born in Düsseldorf, Germany, Heike Makatsch is an accomplished actress, television host, and singer.
Early Life and Education
Makatsch's father was a goalkeeper for the German national ice hockey team. After completing four semesters of political science and sociology at the University of Düsseldorf, she pursued a brief stint in tailoring school before ultimately embarking on her entertainment career.
Rise to Prominence
In 1993, Makatsch made her television debut on the music channel VIVA, hosting two shows. She gained further recognition as a host on MTV from August 1995 to mid-1996.
In 1996, German director Detlev Buck cast Makatsch in a leading role in the film "Männerpension" alongside Til Schweiger. Her performance earned her the Bavarian Film Award for Best Young Actress.
Relationship and Personal Life
Makatsch dated actor Daniel Craig for seven years from 1996 to 2004. Today, she lives with German musician Max Schröder from the band Tomte, and they have two daughters together.
