Early Life and Education

Elvira Kronberga was born on January 18, 1910, in Ventspils, Latvia, into the family of Anesis Kronbergis, a carpenter. Her passion for the arts led her to enroll in the Leningrad Latvian Labour School, graduating in 1928. Upon completing her studies, she pursued acting in the Leningrad Latvian Theatre Actors' Studio.

Professional Career

Kronberga's acting career began in 1932 as a member of the Leningrad Latvian Theatre. She later joined the Cheboksary Russian Drama Theatre, where she performed from 1934 to 1945. In 1945, she relocated to Latvia and joined the State Art Theatre of the Latvian SSR. Her artistic journey culminated in 1946 when she became a leading actress at the State Youth Theatre of the Latvian SSR.

Personal Life and Legacy

Kronberga was married to Boris Praudin, an actor and director. Her illustrious career came to an end on January 5, 1978, when she passed away. As a testament to her contributions to Latvian theatre, Kronberga was laid to rest in the prestigious Rainis Cemetery in Riga.
