Henry Hudson Kitson

Henry Hudson Kitson was an American sculptor born in England. In 1880, his family immigrated to the United States, where he received his artistic training at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

Monumental Sculptures

Upon returning to the United States, Kitson became renowned for his monumental sculptures commemorating prominent figures in American history, particularly heroes of the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. Among his notable works are statues of Confederate President Jefferson Davis, Union Admiral David G. Farragut, and Revolutionary War captain John Parker.
