Early Life and Education

Born into a Political Family:Nawzad Hadi was born into a prominent Kurdish family. His father served as the personal bodyguard to legendary Kurdish leader Mustafa Barzani.

Exile and Political Activism

Forced Migration:Following the suppression of the September 1975 Kurdish uprising, Hadi's family was forced to flee to Iran.

Political Awakening:In Karaj, a suburb of Tehran, Hadi attended high school where he became actively involved in politics. He joined the "Union of Kurdish Student Youth" and emerged as a leading figure alongside Nechirvan Barzani.

Higher Education and Return to Kurdish Politics

Academic Pursuits:After graduating from high school, Hadi dedicated himself to the Democratic Party of Kurdistan (DPK). In 1983-1989, he pursued higher education at the Kyiv State University, focusing on economics.

Diaspora Leadership:Hadi played a significant role in leading the DPK organization in the South Swedish diaspora.

Diplomatic Career

Representative to Russia and the CIS:In 1999, Hadi was appointed as the representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government to Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

International Diplomacy:In his diplomatic capacity, Hadi has represented the interests of Iraqi Kurdistan on the international stage, fostering relations between his homeland and various countries in the region.
