Early Career and Success in Moldova

Ibrahima Gnanou, a skilled Burkinabé footballer, began his professional journey in his hometown with the club ASFA Yennenga. He graced the field for this team until 2005.

Seeking new challenges, he embarked on a move to the Moldovan club FC Sheriff. For three remarkable years, Gnanou left an indelible mark on the team's success. He claimed not only three Premier League titles but also secured the Moldova Cup and two Supercups. His impressive tally of 18 goals, an extraordinary feat for a defender, further solidified his reputation.

Journey through Denmark and Russia

Gnanou's career took him to Denmark in the 2008/09 season, where he joined FC Midtjylland. However, his stay proved brief, and in February 2009, he crossed paths with FC Alania Vladikavkaz in Russia.

Departure from Alania

After a stint with the Vladikavkaz-based club, Gnanou departed from their ranks in August 2011. His time with Alania marked the end of a significant chapter in his footballing adventures.
